Annual Plan Report 2026–27 – Summary

The 2026–27 Annual Plan of Vilakkudy Grama Panchayat gives priority to healthcare, social welfare, agricultural development, and infrastructure development. Various projects aimed at the overall development of the Panchayat and the improvement of the quality of life of the people have been included in the Annual Plan.

Major Projects

1. Health and Social Welfare

• Purchase of medicines for the Family Health Centre (FHC)

• Palliative Care Programme

• Financial assistance for the purchase of medicines for patients suffering from serious illnesses

• Payment of salaries to healthcare personnel

• Salary of ambulance drivers and related expenses

• Nutrition programmes

• Development of Anganwadis

• Purchase of equipment, utensils, grass cutters, and furniture for Anganwadis

• Provision for additional rent

• Installation of safety equipment

• Improvement of facilities for children

2. Agricultural and Employment Development

• Distribution of organic pesticides for agricultural activities

• Distribution of fertilizers for banana, coconut, and vegetable cultivation

• Development of paddy cultivation

• Support for self-employment programmes

3. Infrastructure Development

• Construction of concrete roads

• Development of public facilities

• Improvement of basic infrastructure at the Panchayat level

Financial Overview

• Approximately ₹2 crore and above has been allocated for projects under the General Category.

• Special projects and funds have been included for the Scheduled Caste (SC) community.

• Greater priority has been given to the health, social welfare, and agricultural sectors.
